As a die-hard at home workout mom, this is my workout review after finally completing all 60 days.

The Masters Hammer and Chisel is a co-collaboration between Body Beast creator Sagi Kalev and 21 Day Fix creator Autumn Calabrese.

It’s only taken me since it’s release (2015) and two pregnancies before I have been able to do said workout.

More About The Workout

Like I previously stated it’s a co-collaboration by two top Beachbody Trainers who are also a former bodybuilding competitor and a former IFBB competitor.

These two paired together to give you 60 days of the best. You have Sagi’s knowledge of building muscle and strength as well as Autumn knowledge of chiseling out your body and exposing your lean muscle.

Think you can guess who is the Chisel and who is the Hammer?

Overall this program is yet another favorite but I personally love the workouts both trainers have produced besides MHC.

What is the Schedule Like

The workout is 60 days worth of workouts with one rest day built in each week. The workouts alternate between Chisel and Hammer workouts.

I started Sunday with my rest day being Saturday. You don’t have to have your rest day Wednesday just because it says so on the calendar.

Workout Extras

The calendar is set up where Tuesday might either be a chisel or hammer workout with their extra 15-minute leg or glute workout. If you followed the schedule the rest day would break it up before you had bonus work to do again.

Doing it the way I did my extra work was back to back. It’s completely up to you on how you would like to approach this program. If you are just starting out you might need a less intense approach. The extras on your calendar are optional.

I followed the exact workout for the day even though they do give you another option to do a different workout approved for that day such as,

  • Power Chisel or The Masters Cardio

Both those two are just a short on time workout from my understanding from others who have opted for those options. Maybe on my next time through I will give them a whirl.

Necessary Workout Equipment

There are ways to get around not having certain equipment by using a substitute but you need as followed for this program.

  • Resistance bands
  • Core comfort mat or a towel
  • Weight bench or Stability Ball
  • Dumbbells
  • Pull-up with or without pull-up assist or the door attachment for resistance band

Make sure your bench is sturdy before each workout. They stress heavily the importance of safety.

My bench was less then sturdy…

Shhh,don’t tell anybody.

Autumn Calabrese appears is the following workouts;

  • Chisel Balance
  • Chisel Agility
  • Chisel Cardio
  • Total Body Chisel
  • ISO Strength Chisel
  • Chisel Endurance
  • 10 Minute Chisel Abs

Sagi Kalev is the Hammer in The Masters Hammer and Chisel. His workouts are as followed;

  • Hammer Plyometrics
  • Max Hammer Strength
  • Hammer Conditioning
  • ISO Speed Hammer
  • Total Body Hammer
  • Hammer Power
  • 10 Minute Ab Hammer

Bonus Material

  • Hammer Build up
  • Power Chisel
  • 15 Minute Glute Chisel
  • 15 Minute Leg Hammer

The extra Leg and Glute workouts are actually longer than 15 Minutes once you factor in the warm-up and cool down.

Don’t let that discourage you from going the extra mile when working out.

My 60 Day Results

I finished just in time to get my weight and measurements before my period starts. I couldn’t have planned that any better.

In the last 4 weeks, my diet has been far cleaner than it was originally. I might have been indulging in some ice cream almost every night for close to half the program. *cough*

I’m human but I in no means allowed that to rule me.

But I certainly cleaned up my act
